The Mirror Isn’t Me

I watched you walk away.
Glad to see you go,
Could no longer stand
To see your face.

Staring, pathetic, back at me.
The mirror doesn’t lie.

I watched you walk away.
Won’t miss your weakness,
The tears shed for nothing
And for no one.

Staring, lost, back at me.
The mirror doesn’t lie

I watched you walk away.
Glad to see you go,
Won’t miss your doormat personality.
The mirror won’t lie again.

She’s not me.
Her weakness won’t be mine.
Glad to see her go.
Glad to be me,
Seeing clearly, finally.

About inkspots87

I'm a writer at heart, but so much more. I'm typical, I love music and I've got a thing for pretty things. I like things, in general. If it's a thing chances are I'll like something about it. I love to read. Words are quite possibly my favorite thing, hence why I'm here. View all posts by inkspots87
